Brewlab will host a meeting of the Great Northern Section of the Institute of Brewing and Distilling on the evening of Thursday 7th March, 6.30 pm to 9pm.

A talk by Dr Keith Thomas on “Alternative Fermentations with bacteria and yeast” will outline the uses of different microbiology in brewing specialist beers.  Samples of beers brewed with a range of microorganisms will be provided and the evening will include a tour of the facilities and a tasting challenge.

The event is open to non IBD member guests but please contact Jane Hewitt at ibdgns@ibd.org.uk so numbers can be collated.
