Barcelona Beer Company

What inspired you to do the Brewlab course?
We were thinking of building our own brewery so we started looking for the best place to learn and also have a global vision of the day to day life in a brewery.

What areas of the Brewlab course were most beneficial to you?
The most beneficial area was the global vision that Brewlab taught us.

How beneficial did you find the practical side of the Brewlab course?
From our point of view, everyone needs a whole life in order to learn how to do an amazing beer. Even though, we think that the practical formation at Brewlab reinforces the theoretical part of how to produce a good beer. We were just beginners and we found it really interesting.

Was there a part of the course you particularly liked/enjoyed?
As said before, the part of the course we really liked and enjoyed was about the global vision when working in a brewery.

Where do you work now?
We have created the Barcelona Beer Company in Barcelona, of course.

Where do you work now?
I’m the co-director, together with another ex-student of Brewlab.

If you decided you set up yourself, how is it going?
It couldn’t get better.

How much beer do you produce?
We are beginners and small, right now we only produce 10.000 liters per month.

Do you have a recipe you are most proud of?
Cerdos Voladores (Flying Pigs) is our best beer, we are so proud of that beer. It’s an IPA with a big quantity of Amarillo.

What plans do you have for the future?
Our plan for the future is to produce one of the 10 best beers from Europe.
