Arthur Bryant


Arthur is proud of his North East roots and currently lives in Northumberland.

He started his career as a Scientist in various UK Governmental sectors, in 1986 he joined a large brewery on Tyneside as a QC Chemist leading to Laboratory Manager, following subsequent internal promotions he subsequently moved into production as a Brewery Production Manager, takeovers by Scottish & Newcastle and Heineken broadened Arthur’s knowledge of brewing process, project implementation, process control, quality systems and health and safety. He managed projects at partner sites and was an integral member of the senior brewing best practice team across Europe. He passionately believes quality and consistency is critical to craft brewing success.

Arthur joined Brewlab in 2010 and has overseen course expansion, accreditation and the successful training of numerous UK and international students on our various programmes. Latterly Arthur has gained an IBD distilling qualification, following an IBD study tour, This knowledge has allowed Brewlab to diversify, introducing course delivery and learning into this growing sector. Arthur is an accredited Institute of Brewing and Distilling trainer.

Favourite beer: Augustiner Helles, 5.2%. This is a lager from Munich, I am a big fan of German Bavarian lager styles and this beer epitomises all that is great about their Brewing heritage.
