Our recently completed Certificate in Practical Brewingcourse attracted a full classof students.
We are pleased to say that all went on to successfully complete their exams ad pass the course.
Attendees arrived in Sunderland from around the world with India, New Zealand and America all represented.
Apoorva from India collected the prize for the best brewwith her 4.5% milk stout. Erik from America scopped secnd prize with his4.9% barrel aged rye IPA.
Highlights of the course included a social evening at Brewlab for Darwin Brewery's open evening where we enjoyed a cask that the students brewed during the first week of the course. The IPA was named 'New Bridge' after Sunderland's very own new bridge across the River Wear that is under construction.
Feedback from the students was excellent and all commented on the vast knowledge displayed by the Brewlab instructors.
The photo shows the students post exams on the final day!
